Greetings to each of you, my beloved, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. God has blessed us to still be alive as we proceed through the third month of the year, and we extol Him highly for His grace and mercy.
Your participation and support are needed in various ways. First, we need a lot of people (St. John parishioners and friends) to email or write a letter to the Richmond Planning Commission stating your support of the St. John Family Life Center. This Family Life Center will consist of a gymnasium, weight room and game room. We envision activities, especially for young people, that will be a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Of course, the gymnasium can be used for more than Basketball games.
The Richmond Planning Commission needs to hear from us, so let’s convey our written support. Their email address is ichoi@ci.richmond.ca.us and geographical address is 450 Civic Center Plaza, 2nd Floor, Richmond, CA 94804.
Secondly, we need a lot of people (St. John parishioners and friends) to be present in a Zoom meeting with the Richmond Planning Commission, Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 6:30 pm. When I receive the Zoom sign-in information, I will email it to each of you. If I am called upon to make a presentation to the Richmond Planning Commission, I will need the Richmond Planning Commission to know that our project is greatly supported when they see everyone present.
Thirdly, we are planning to stream an Easter Worship Celebration, Sunday, April 4, 2021. If God permits, I will preach, and our Worship & Praise Team will sing; also, I will officiate the Lord’s Supper (you will need to have bread and wine/juice). The service will be broadcasted live online at 8:00 am, 9:30 am, and 11:00 am. Everyone will have the option to view it live with others or at their convenience when the video is made available on-demand. (More will be said about this in the upcoming weeks.)
Lastly, we express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for supporting St. John financially, especially in the last year. We currently contribute by mailing or dropping off our Tithes and Offerings to our St. John South Campus (662 South 52nd Street—Richmond, CA 94804) or by giving online through our website (sjmbc.org). If you are a member of St. John who is financially able but not supporting our church financially, allow God to bless you with more by giving today your Tithes and Offerings.
May God bless and sustain each of us.
Your Servant In Christ,
Dr. Kevin B. Hall, Pastor
