Psalm 118:24
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
By the grace of God, we are alive to witness the completion of another month. Many who began this month with us are not alive today, but we are still alive; therefore, we should be thankful unto the Lord. We should also rejoice and be glad because this is another day which the Lord hath made.
COVID VACCINATIONS
On last Thursday, I solicited your support to host Covid Vaccinations at our North Campus, and the response has been good. Some changes were made; for example, Contra Costa County chose to administer Johnson & Johnson vaccine on Wednesday and Saturday. (Pfizer Vaccinations were and will be administered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.) Also, our county decided that they will not utilize our South Campus next week which was their initial plan, but they will most likely return in three weeks to administer the second vaccinations at probably the North Campus. Spread the word abroad that vaccinations are still being administered, but Sunday, May 2nd, is the final day at the North Campus.
STAY CONNECTED
I encourage everyone to stay connected to God through His word (Daily Bible Reading, Online Sunday School and Online Bible Study) and through prayer (praying at least three times daily, praying with prayer partner at least once a week and praying with others in our Wednesday Prayer Meetings at 12 noon or 6:30 pm). I also encourage everyone to stay connected to one another (our biological family and our church family).
THE LORD’S SUPPER
Matthew 26:26-28 Reads:
26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Are you partaking in the Lord’s Supper? Even though we are not assembling together at either one of our two campuses, we still need to experience the Lord’s Supper which we can do this Sunday at 8:00 am and 1:30 pm. To participate, each believer will need some bread or a cracker, and each believer will need some grape juice (or something similar). For more information, you may visit our website (sjmbc.org).
IT’S BLESSING TIME!
I thank so many of you who have been supporting St. John financially, especially in the last year. With everything that we are doing and trying to do, your financial contributions are needed. We currently give by mailing or dropping off our Tithes and Offerings to our St. John South Campus (662 South 52nd Street—Richmond, CA 94804) or by giving online through our website (sjmbc.org). If you are a member of St. John who is financially able but not supporting our church financially, allow God to bless you with more by giving today your Tithes and Offerings.
May God bless and sustain each of us.
Your Servant In Christ,
Dr. Kevin B. Hall, Pastor
